March 26, 2018 Cheetahs Day of Service
Cheetahs Day of Service is an outlet that allows our athletes to give back to others. Montbello Cheetahs Youth Organization (MCYO), believes that for communities to grow and thrive, people must step up, take leadership roles and identify areas to enhance community.
MCYO strives to help all athletes become great citizens, and be compassionate people who are responsible, organized, and innovative. We instill in our athletes to care for others, being examples to inspire and mobilize other youth, teens, and organizations to do the same. No matter how young or old; everyone benefits by participating and giving back to the community.
In 2017, Montbello Cheetahs Track Club collaborated with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Epsilon Nu Omega Denver chapter by collecting and donating over 80 backpacks with school supplies for families of the Dahlia Campus for Health and Well Being Mental Health Center of Denver. With the donations and contributions of these organizations, the children of these families were able to begin school confident, ready and prepared with the tools they need to be successful.
